Mission/PurposeOur Mission …'To facilitate learning and progression by providing a range of services that best meets the needs of people affected by ASC in the East Midlands Region' Our Purpose …The LSC, Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism (NORSACA), through Whitegates College and West Nottinghamshire College, are working together to lead the development of a post 16 Regional Partnership for people with Autism. This is an initiative related to the LSC document ‘Inclusion to Excellence’ (Nov 2005) which highlights the need for radical transformation in the ways in which funding, planning and methods of working together are implemented. The concept of a regional partnership for autism has developed in response to this and to gaps in provision for this area of need, alongside an increasing demand for services. There is a need to provide learning opportunities and improved choices for people affected by autism post 16, in a further education context, who have a diverse range of needs and abilities.
